Mall of Qatar officially opened its doors to the public with a soft opening on the 10th of December 2016, the Oasis at the heart of the Commercial Centre has been a great success

News_Winners of New Airbus HQ

Spacecoop and Estudio Lamela have won the International Design Competition to design the new AIRBUS HQ in Madrid. Airbus is developing a new campus with Company HQ/Visitor Centre/Services building/Data Centre. The state of the art campus style buildings are to be clustered around a sustainable central park of sculpted landforms and an “Airflow” water feature.

News_Buyukyali is on site

The mega residential project ‘Buyukyali’, set on the coastline of the Marmara Sea, Istanbul is on site. With a spectacular location, it is to become one of Turkey’s most exciting residential-led mixed use developments. Chapman Taylor (Madrid) with Spacecoop are designing the luxury development that is described as ‘Four Quarters, One Neighbourhood’.

The scheme includes a broad range of uses with a 5 star hotel, luxury branded residences, 1,500 homes, 15,000 sqm of restaurants, shops and leisure space and 20,000 sqm of offices.

News_7 Pines Luxury Resort / Hotel

Spacecoop have designed the exterior landscape for the new 7 Pines Luxury Resort / Hotel with Spa and “Cone Club” on the cliffs on the west coast of Ibiza. The hotel has 195 boutique style suites set in a natural coastal landscape that are currently under construction. The completion date for the resort is 2017.

News_Oasis, Mall of Qatar

Construction of the “Oasis” in the Mall of Qatar is substantially complete. Together Spacecoop and Chapman Taylor have designed the interior atrium space that houses giant vegetated trees that rise up from an extensive organic landscape below. The Mall plans to open its doors by the end of 2016.

Aranjuez Palace_revisited

One of Spacecoop’s first projects in Spain “Plaza de Parejas” – James Braybrooke was involved in the restoration of the palace gardens. The idea behind them was to recreate the huertos / palace allotments that were originally located in the plaza. Long colourful bands of aromatic and mediterranean groundcovers and ornamental grasses were used to make the floral tapestry.

Futureproofing_Titan, Invesco, Madrid

Spacecoop have just completed a future-proofing project for the Invesco portfolio in Madrid. The brief was to convert all the exterior left-over spaces into functional/sustainable/aesthetic components. Spacecoop used low tech, easy maintainable materials to meet the client’s requirements.
